About

Kiran Gandhi, who performs as Madame Gandhi, is an American artist, producer and activist known for uplifting, percussive electronic music and a message of personal power. A former touring drummer for M.I.A. and Thievery Corporation, she rose to international attention after running the 2015 London Marathon free-bleeding to challenge menstrual stigma. She holds degrees from Georgetown, Harvard Business School and Stanford's CCRMA, and has been named a TED Fellow, one of Forbes' 30 Under 30 in Music and one of the BBC's 100 Women. Her debut album Let Me Be Water (2025) and the Love Letters from Brooklyn EP (2026) carry her activism into climate work: she has recorded melting Antarctic glaciers, and through EarthPercent's Sounds Right initiative credits nature as a featured artist, directing streaming royalties to conservation.
